iTTi MENA EXAM POLICY
This policy governs all assessments and examinations for iTTi MENA TEFL/TESOL certification programs. All students must comply with these requirements to successfully complete their certification.
ASSESSMENT STRUCTURE
For 120-Hour TEFL Certification:
- Module-end quizzes throughout the course (minimum 70% to pass each quiz)
- Written assignments and lesson plan submissions
- Teaching practicum evaluation (for in-person and live online courses)
- Final comprehensive exam covering all course material
For 220-Hour TESOL Diploma:
- All 120-hour requirements plus advanced module assessments
- Specialized teaching projects (young learners, business English, IELTS/TOEFL)
- Extended practicum with advanced teaching evaluation
- Final comprehensive exam covering all 220 hours of material
EXAM ADMINISTRATION
Online Exams:
- All exams are administered through our secure LMS platform
- Students must have a stable internet connection and compatible device
- Module quizzes are timed: 30 minutes per quiz
- Final exams are timed: 90 minutes for 120-hour, 120 minutes for 220-hour
- The system automatically records start and end times
In-Person Exams (Riyadh Courses):
- Exams may be taken on personal laptops or provided at the training center
- Students using personal devices must confirm their laptop is in good working order 24 hours before the exam
- Handwritten exams are available upon request (notify instructor 24 hours in advance)
- Proctored exam sessions scheduled during the final week of course
PASSING REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum passing score for all quizzes and exams: 70%
- All module quizzes must be passed before accessing final exam
- All assignments must be submitted and receive passing grades
- Teaching practicum must receive satisfactory evaluation from instructor
- Final exam must be completed with 70% or higher
Honors Designation: Students who achieve 95% or higher on all assessments and demonstrate exceptional teaching performance will receive an Honors distinction on their certificate.
RETAKE POLICY
- Each exam can only be taken once per attempt
- Students who score below 70% may retake the exam free of charge after a mandatory 7-day study period
- No immediate retakes are permitted
- Students may retake failed exams up to two times
- Additional tutoring support is provided before retake attempts
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY
All students must maintain the highest standards of academic integrity. Prohibited behaviors include:
- Plagiarism or submitting others’ work as your own
- Using unauthorized materials during exams
- Sharing exam content with other students
- Having another person take an exam on your behalf
- Using AI tools to complete assignments without proper attribution
Violations of academic integrity will result in:
- First offense: Zero on the assignment or exam, academic probation
- Second offense: Dismissal from program with no refund
TECHNICAL ISSUES
Students experiencing technical difficulties during an exam must:

- Document the issue with screenshots if possible
- Report the problem within 24 hours of the exam
Verified technical issues on our platform will result in exam reset at no penalty. Students are responsible for ensuring their devices and internet connections meet minimum requirements before beginning exams.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Students requiring accommodations due to documented disabilities or special circumstances should contact the Academic Director at least 14 days before scheduled exams. Reasonable accommodations may include extended time, alternative formats, or modified testing conditions. All accommodation requests require supporting documentation.
